I have been super busy.  I am close to one year on my retirement countdown.  I am super excited about that but there is so much to do.

I will be doing a quilt show in my hometown, San Angelo in June.  The show will be held at the historic Fort Concho on June 22 & 23, 2012 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm each day.  Fort Concho is located at 630 South Oakes.   I hope to see you there.  Please tell all of your friends.  We want to have a good turn out so that we can keep coming back every year.

I have also been busy doing lectures and teaching classes.  Tell your guild or your local quilt store if you want more information on Square In A Square or X-Blocks.

Teachers Reunion

Well, I am back from the Teachers Reunion.  Unfortunately I spent the majority of the time in my hotel room.  I got super sick while I was there.  I was able to go to the dinner on Tuesday night and spent Wednesday working on revising patterns.  However, by Thursday morning I was definitely sick.  I ended up at the urgent care with really high fever.  Not the way I had planned on spending the week.  At least I got to visit with everyone for a little bit before I got too sick to stay down there.

The worst part is that I had to skip the trip to Moda with everyone.

The girls worked on a Mystery Quilt.  I can't wait to get back into the swing of things and work on that.

Back from the Rockport Quilt Show

This last weekend was the Rockport Quilt Show.  This show takes place every other year in even years.  It is a small show held in the high school but it always proves to be a great show.  The weather was beautiful and there was a great turn out.

I finally finished my first pattern.  It was well received at the show and I was happy that people were actually buying it.  Writing a pattern is a lot of work and it really makes you appreciate the hard work that everyone puts into them.  I hope to get more of my own patterns written in the near future.  It is so satisfying when you see someone show an interest into something that you created.  You can purchase it here.  http://zoraycreations.com/ripplequilt.html  Check it out!

Of course, after the show I had to rush home because I had to be back at work first thing Monday morning.  I will be so glad when May 31, 2013 gets here so I won't have to worry about having to get back to work because I will be RETIRED!!!

Next week is our annual Square In A Square Teachers Reunion so I will be off playing again.  I will post more after I return from there.  Remember to check out our website for all of your quilting needs.  http://www.zoraycreations.com/
